From now until the Spring Festival holiday, the fragrance of plum blossoms grows stronger, and their colors become more vibrant. By mid-February, the city is expected to be awash in a sea of blooming plum blossoms. These six routes will guide you through the most picturesque spots of plum blossoms in the city.

Tiger Hill Scenic Area虎丘景区→Humble Administrator's Garden拙政园→Lion Grove Garden狮子林→Dongyuan Park东园

The Lengxiang Pavilion冷香阁, Taying Garden塔影园, and Flower Goddess Site花神苑 are prime spots for plum blossom viewing. The ancient pagoda, historic mountains, and classical architecture blend seamlessly with the blooms, creating a poetic harmony.

At the Humble Administrator's Garden, the Xuexiang Yunwei Pavilion雪香云蔚亭 and the west side of Zhuiyun Peak缀云峰 feature expansive areas of plum blossom trees. The white plums planted near the pavilion resemble snow in full bloom.

The 2026 Wintersweet & Plum Blossom Bonsai Exhibition is currently underway at Lion Grove Garden, showcasing over 300 exquisite works from more than 30 institutions nationwide. 

As Suzhou's earliest and largest urban park, Dongyuan Park boasts a Plum Blossom Market where visitors can savor seasonal plum blossom-infused delicacies and purchase cultural and creative products featuring the elements of the blossoms.

Yiyuan Garden怡园→Canglang Pavilion沧浪亭→Keyuan Garden可园

In front of Chuyue Pavilion at Yiyuan Garden, multiple aged plum blossom trees are planted.

At Canglang Pavilion, the interplay of intricate latticed windows and blooming plum blossoms creates dynamic framed landscapes. The most poetic view lies in the secluded Wenmiaoxiang Chamber闻妙香室 at the southeast corner.

Keyuan Garden has long been celebrated for its plum blossoms. It was once home to the ancient Tiegu Hong plum blossom, which was hailed as the "No.1 Branch in Jiangnan." Today, Yiqing Hall and Xuegu Hall are flanked by plum blossoms.

Ancient Moat Ring Fitness Trail环古城河健身步道→Panmen Scenic Area盘门景区

Along the Xinshiqiao-Panmen section of the Ancient Moat Ring Fitness Trail, vast stretches of red and white plum blossoms bloom vibrantly on both sides of the path.

Inside the Wuxiang Temple伍相祠 at Panmen Scenic Area, Sasanqua camellia flowers are in full bloom.

Xiangxuehai香雪海→Taihu Yugang Village太湖渔港村→Chongshan Village冲山村

Suzhou's Xiangxuehai (Fragrant Snow Sea) remains a top-tier destination for plum blossom appreciation. The scenic area boasts nearly 2,000 plum blossom trees and about 30 varieties, including white plum blossom, red plum blossom, ink plum blossom, and jade butterfly plum blossom.

At Yugang Village, visitors can interact intimately with soaring black-headed gulls and feel the romance of Taihu Lake.

The Yujian Lighthouse屿见灯塔 in Chongshan Village has emerged as a new internet-famous photo spot and is hailed by photographers as the premier location for capturing bird life.

At the plum blossom garden on the mountainside of Yuyangshan, red, white, and green plum blossoms dominate the landscape.

Xiangshan Scenic Area香山景区→Shuangshan Island双山岛→Yangshe Old Street杨舍老街

The Meiling area, nestled in the southern foothills of Xiangshan Mountain, covers an area of more than 200,000 square meters. It boasts over 10,000 plum blossom trees and many varieties.
